Tehran Attacked, Iranian Missiles Launched at Tel Aviv
SUARA NEGERI | JAKARTA — The Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Indonesia strongly condemned the attacks allegedly carried out by the United States (US) and Israel on several civilian sites and vital infrastructure in Tehran and several other cities in Iran on Saturday (February 28, 2026).
In its official statement, the Iranian Embassy called the attacks an act of aggression that violated the territorial integrity and national sovereignty of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The press statement provided information on the current situation in the conflict between Iran and Israel. Mohammad Boroujerdi also emphasized that Iran will continue to retaliate against Israeli attacks as a form of self-defense as long as the attacks and aggression continue.
The Iranian Ambassador considered the attacks carried out by Israel to be illegal and unjustified under international law because they targeted civilian facilities.
Meanwhile, approximately two hours after the joint attack by Israel and the United States (US), Iran launched a series of ballistic missiles towards Israel.
This was confirmed by the IDF, as quoted by RT, Saturday, February 28, 2026, which also released a warning map of areas in Israel that could be hit by Iranian missiles.
Al Jazeera reported that explosions began to be heard in northern Israel. Meanwhile, several photos and videos circulating on social media showed smoke rising in several Israeli areas due to the Iranian missile strikes.
The Israeli military also said retaliatory missiles had been launched from Iran toward Israel this morning. Sirens sounded across Israel following the announcement.
