Prabowo Inspects Fish Sorting and Packing Shelter in Gorontalo

SUARA NEGERI | GORONTALO — President Prabowo Subianto inspected a fish sorting and packing shelter in South Leato, Gorontalo, on Saturday (May 9, 2026), as a demonstration of the government's commitment to strengthening the community's fisheries ecosystem and improving the welfare of fishermen through integrated supporting facilities.

Upon arrival, President Prabowo toured the port area and the shelter, where fishermen were sorting fish.

Prabowo also engaged in direct dialogue with fishermen engaged in their activities on their boats. A warm and friendly atmosphere was evident as the fishermen shared their experiences with the Head of State.

One of the fishermen, Acon Karim, expressed his pleasure at speaking directly with the Head of State.

Acon recounted that the President inquired about the number of crew members on the boats and was concerned about fuel consumption, particularly regarding their range.

Acon also expressed his appreciation for the President's visit to the fishing port area.

Similar sentiments were expressed by other fishermen, Tetin Yuli and Brawijaya Kadullah, who expressed their happiness at the President's visit to their area and appreciated the government's support through the provision of facilities for fishermen in the KNMP area. (Elma)
