dr Tifa Denies Rumors of Meeting Jokowi

SUARA NEGERI | JAKARTA — dr Tifauzia Tyassuma denied reports that she went to Solo to meet Joko Widodo.

"I am safe and sound around South Jakarta, commuting from home to the Salemba campus to continue my doctoral research. I didn't go to Balige or Samosir, let alone Solo," said dr. Tifa, X, as quoted on Thursday, March 19, 2026.

dr. Tifa chose to withdraw from various public activities in recent days to focus on worship during the last ten days of Ramadhan.

The purpose of the withdrawal was to calm her heart and clear her mind. However, dr. Tifa criticized the practice of power, which she considered unethical.

"The methods used no longer reflect the ethics of a statesman, but rather resemble the practice of power that defends oneself at the expense of others. Academics are being targeted. Reputations are being destroyed," she said.

dr. Tifa emphasized that the problem is actually simple. However, there are now parties who are exploiting this situation.

"If you really have nothing to hide, just show it. Anywhere. In public, in court, even in the most humble of places. Simple," she said.

The case of Joko Widodo's alleged fake diploma involves eight suspects in three groups, including dr. Tifa in the second group, along with Roy Suryo and Rismon Sianipar. On January 16, 2026, the Jakarta Metropolitan Police issued an Arrest Warrant (SP3) against Eggi Sudjana and Damai Hari Lubis after the two visited Jokowi in Solo.

Rismon Sianipar then filed a request for restorative justice (RJ) with the Jakarta Metropolitan Police. Previously, Rismon was confident in his findings that Jokowi's diploma was not authentic. However, he later corrected his research and apologized to the public. (dea)
