Defense Minister Reviews Mining Land Control in Central Kalimantan
SUARA NEGERI ■ KALTENG — Indonesian Defense Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin inspected the land of PT Asmin Koalindo Tuhup (AKT) in Murung Raya Regency, Central Kalimantan, yesterday.
During the visit, control of the land was transferred from the PKH Task Force to the Indonesian Attorney General's Office, after it was previously confiscated in legal proceedings related to alleged corruption in the mining sector.
This step emphasizes the shift from administrative control to criminal law enforcement.
The government is committed to transparent and accountable management of forest areas and natural resources.
Also present at the event were Attorney General ST Burhanuddin, Minister of Forestry Raja Juli Antoni, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia, Deputy Minister of Environment Diaz Hendropriyono, and National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo.
