Deputy Minister Says PT KAI Labor Agreement Strengthens Industrial Relations

SUARA NEGERI ■ JAKARTA — Deputy Minister of Manpower Afriansyah Noor said the 2026–2028 Collective Labor Agreement (CLA) signed by PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) and the Railway Workers Union (SPKA) reflects healthy industrial relations built on dialogue and mutual understanding.

Speaking at the signing ceremony in Jakarta on Friday (June 26), Afriansyah said the agreement demonstrates that differences between management and workers can be resolved through negotiation rather than prolonged conflict.

"The successful completion of this agreement shows that differing interests can be accommodated through solutions that benefit all parties," he said.

Afriansyah described the CLA as more than a legal document, saying it represents a shared commitment to fair, adaptive, and sustainable labor relations. He added that open communication remains essential to balancing business performance with employee welfare.

Although negotiations faced challenges during the formation of the bargaining team, the process was completed under the framework of Minister of Manpower Regulation No. 28 of 2014.

He expressed hope that the agreement would strengthen trust, encourage workplace dialogue, and support PT KAI's performance as a strategic state-owned enterprise.

PT KAI President Director Bobby Rasyidin said the agreement reflects a shared vision between management and employees to support the company's long-term development.
