Prabowo: IDR 40 Trillion in State Assets Successfully Rescued

SUARA NEGERI | JAKARTA — President Prabowo Subianto personally witnessed the handover of IDR 10.27 trillion in administrative fines and 2.37 million hectares of forest land to the state at an event held at the Attorney General's Office complex in Jakarta on Wednesday, May 13, 2026.

Prabowo stated that the handover was an important part of efforts to rescue state assets through forest area regulations and strengthening national natural resource governance.

"The Indonesian nation, the Indonesian people, have reached a stage where our people want to see evidence," he said.

President Prabowo also revealed that this was the fourth handover, with the total value of the assets rescued reaching approximately IDR 40 trillion.

According to President Prabowo, the proceeds from this rescue will be used to accelerate the development of public service facilities, including school renovations and improvements to health centers throughout Indonesia.

The Head of State also expressed his appreciation for the performance of the Forest Area Monitoring Task Force, along with the Attorney General's Office, the National Police, the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP), and the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK), in securing state assets. He emphasized that state oversight of natural resources is a constitutional mandate for the greatest prosperity of the people.

Pratara firmly stated that the government will continue to fight to stop corruption and the plundering of state assets for the future of Indonesia and future generations.
